Tour Information
Times & Prices
Our three-part Eagle’s Nest Historical Tour is offered daily, departing at 1:15 pm from our office at Obersalzberg above Berchtesgaden (Germany). It runs from around mid-May through October, provided the Eagle’s Nest road is open, and lasts 3,5 hours. The price of the tour is 70€ per person and 47€ for children from 8 through 14 years of age (due to the intense historical focus of this tour we do not accept bookings for children under 8). The price includes all entrance fees and transportation. As our tours are limited in size, it is advisable to book in advance.

Contact & Location
Eagle’s Nest Historical Tours are located in the street entrance (not the parking lot entrance) of the building marked Berggasthof Obersalzberg (which is a restaurant). The building is located at the end of Parking 1 at Obersalzberg (4 km up the mountain from Berchtesgaden). Normally there is parking available at nearby P1, P2 and P3. As a reference point, P1 (where our office is located) is the parking lot closest to the Eagle’s Nest bus departure point (Kehlstein Busabfahrt in German).
If you are staying in Salzburg (Austria) and don’t have a vehicle you can take bus #840 which departs almost every hour from either the Salzburg train station or from Mirabellplatz for Berchtesgaden train/bus station (duration approx. 45 min.). From Munich there are regular train departures about every hour for Berchtesgaden train/bus station (change at Freilassing). One-way trip takes about 2.5 – 3 hrs. From the Berchtesgaden bus station you can take bus #838 to Obersalzberg where our tour departs from. There is also the option of taking a taxi from the train station in Berchtesgaden to Obersalzberg. If asking for directions, don’t let people send you up to the “Eagle’s Nest” (Kehlsteinhaus). Our tour starts at Obersalzberg, NOT the Eagle’s Nest. The exact address is:

Please be at our office at least 15 min. prior to tour departure!!! Preferably, arrive by 12:00 so you have time to park, pay for the tour and grab a bite to eat before the tour. Once the tour starts, the first opportunity to have a snack is not until we give our guests some free time up at the Eagle’s Nest which wouldn’t be until late afternoon.
Opening / Closing of the Eagle’s Nest
