Tour Prices

Important note concerning bookings for children:

As our booking system doesn’t allow different ticket prices when booking our public Eagle’s Nest Historical Tour or our Eagle’s Nest Express Tour, please inform us (info@eagles-nest-tours.com) whether you have children (8-14 years) in your group and we will adjust the total price accordingly, thank you.

Public Eagle’s Nest Historical Tour

Children (8–14): €60

Eagle’s Nest Express Tour

Adults: €60
Children (8–14): €45
Children under 8 not accepted

Exclusive History Buff Tour

1–4 participants: €425 per party
5–8 participants: €475 per party

Bus fee not included:
• Eagle’s Nest bus: €34.70 / adult

Payment

Public Tours (Eagle‘s Nest Historical Tour & Eagle’s Nest Express Tour):

  • full amount charged 48 hours before tour

Exclusive Tours:

  • Tour payment on the day of the tour at our office
  • Card (Visa/Mastercard) or cash payment accepted
  • No ATM available at Obersalzberg
  • Bus fees not included in tour price: We will reserve your bus tickets for you and your guide will assist you with purchasing the tickets at the ticketing office before boarding the bus

Cancellation Policy

• Free cancellation up to 48 hours before start of tour
• Cancellations within 48 hours and no-shows are charged in full
• No refunds after this period

Check-In

Public Eagle’s Nest Historical Tour

  • Check-in: Office opens at 12:00 pm
  • Please arrive at least 15 minutes before departure
  • Tour Start: 1:00 pm
  • Arrivals after 12:50 pm are considered no-shows

Eagle’s Nest Express Tour

  • Check-in for the Friday tour at 12:45 pm
  • Check-in for the Sunday tour at 10:15 am

Exclusive History Buff Tour

  • Guide meets guests for morning slot at 8:15 am
  • Guide meets guests for afternoon slot at 12:45 pm

What to bring & Lunch Options

  • Warm jacket or pullover recommended (Eagle’s Nest altitude: 1,834 m / 6,017 ft – expect cooler temperatures)
  • Large variety of lunch options in Berchtesgaden town centre (restaurants & cafés) or
    at Berggasthof Obersalzberg, directly next to our office (traditional Bavarian cuisine,
    same location as office)

Documentation Center & Bunkers

  • Not included in our tours
  • 2 min. walk from our office
  • Open daily: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Audio guides available in English
  • Entrance fee: €4.50 p.p.

• If full: use P2 (Documentation Center) or P3 (10-15 min. walk)

Public Transport

From Salzburg:

  • Bus #840 to Berchtesgaden (Salzburg main station to Berchtesgaden approx. 45 min)
  • Then bus #838 direction ‚Dokumentation Obersalzberg‘ or taxi
  • Travel time: 1.5 hours

From Munich:

  • Train to Berchtesgaden (via Freilassing)
  • Travel time: 2.5–3 hours
  • Then bus #838 direction‚ Dokumentation Obersalzberg‘ or taxi

Important:

  • Do NOT travel directly to Kehlsteinhaus (Eagle’s Nest)
  • Tours starts at Obersalzberg at our office

Important Notice for Drivers

  • Allow extra travel time (possible A8 construction delays & traffic)
  • Avoid Austria without vignette (fine €200)
  • Exit: Bad Reichenhall/Piding/Berchtesgaden
